I don't really live that close to Randolph county(I live in Herrin, IL.), but, I do drive through there, concerning work. That is actually how I learned of you, seeing signs in yards, and then an article on you in the St. Louis Post Dispatch. I admire you for your approach and your accomplishments, done primarily, all on your own. You are a role model, not just for women, or young girls, but for everyone. You've done a good job, and you should be proud. My views probably don't really count for much, but, you have my support and praise. And trust me, if you saw me, you wouldn't think that I would be much into politics, or signing guestbooks of politicians. I have 9 piercings, 10 tattoos, and long dyed hair...lol...

Hi Erin,
I wish you luck on your bid. You are running against an entrenched foe
and face an uphill battle just for name recognition. My parents are
from the Herrin/West Frankfort area, kind of close to you so I have some
familiarity with the people "down" there. Unfortunately, they can be
very Democratic (just like here). In addition, I believe you have a
large minority population that needs to be educated in conservative
principles after the miseducation by our largely socialist public
schooling system. If you get the conservative philosophy out in a
positive manner, I believe you have a good chance of winning. The
central party is trying to be very centralist to include everyone and
therefore, not distinguishing Republicans from the Democrats (because
they're not that different from the Dems.). Conservative philosophy is
different and your choice may be the refreshing breath of fresh air to
unseat the incumbent. As a fellow conservative, my best wishes for
victory.
